MLK  Health & Wellness Event: The mission of the MLK Symposium is to honor Dr. King and the principles he espoused through learning, service, and community engagement. This year, the Young Quakers Community Athletics (YQCA) program would like to promote deeper bonds between Penn and the greater West Philadelphia area by inviting school-age children onto the Penn campus to engage in sports, wellness and community service activities under the guidance and encouragement of Penn students. Students will participate in a service activity, climbing the rock wall, yoga and football clinic led by Penn Football. The event is co-sponsored and presented by Penn Athletics, the Netter Center, the African-American Resource Center and the Graduate Student Center. The event is open to 4th-8th grade students at Mitchell, Comegys, Lea and Hamilton University-Assisted Community Schools.
