Penn senior and Community School Student Partnerships (CSSP) mentor Nicholas Thomas-Lewis has been awarded a Rhodes Scholarship for graduate study at the University of Oxford. The Rhodes is highly competitive and one of the most prestigious scholarships in the world, and Nicholas is among the 32 American Rhodes Scholar chosen to represent the United States. Nicholas, a CSSP mentor with Benjamin B. Comegys School, one of the Netter Center's university-assisted community school partners, since Fall 2018, shared: "Mentoring at Comegys has been a defining component of my Penn experience, affirming my passion for and pursuit of youth work in the future and underscoring the value of community engagement outside of the university...I owe so much to Comegys, CSSP, and the Netter Center for helping me reach the incredible honor of the Rhodes Scholarship."
