Southeast Regional Coalition for University-Assisted Community Schools

The Netter Center for Community Partnerships is very pleased to announce that the Southeast Regional Coalition for University-Assisted Community Schools (SRCUACS) will be the nation’s 6th University-Assisted Community School (UACS) Regional Training Center.

This is the first regional center anchored by not one but three higher eds: North Carolina Central University, a public historically Black university; East Carolina University, a public university; and Duke University, a private university.

The SRCUACS will convene colleges, universities and their partners within North Carolina and across the region to develop a coalition dedicated to enhancing existing UACS and to creating new UACS partnerships and programs.

This new regional center has created a sign up for its newsletter and announced a schedule of monthly calls for its inaugural year.

Previous regional training centers, supported by Penn's Netter Center on a three-year cycle, include: University of Oklahoma-Tulsa, IUPUI, University of Connecticut, UCLA, and Binghamton University.

For more information, check out the article published in Duke Today.

Please join us in congratulating the SRCUACS team. We look forward to learning with and from this new UACS Regional Training Center and its partners.
