Mya Gordon
Mya Gordon is an Emerson Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania’s Netter Center for Community Partnerships and a part-time student at the Graduate School of Education, where she is pursuing an M.S.Ed. in Higher Education. She is passionate about advancing mutually beneficial higher education-community partnerships that work to improve community wellbeing while advancing teaching, learning, and research. She helps lead the University-Assisted Community Schools (UACS) National Network, a professional learning community that supports higher education institutions and community school partners in developing and advancing university-assisted community schools. She also helps lead the Netter Center’s Youth-Driven Anti-Violence Program, working with UACS high school students in West Philadelphia to explore anti-violence and community care in a supportive space where they can grow as leaders of change in their schools and communities.
