Shestack Addresses Human Rights Issues

Students for Human Rights and Democratic Education, was held at Penn on December 2, 2007,  to commemorate International Human Rights Day.  Sponsored by the International Consortium for Higher Education, Civic Responsibility and Democracy, housed at the Netter Center, the student conference was a grassroots initiative focused on student input and perspectives on how to affect change in human rights and democratization through higher education.  Jerome Shestack, Esq., Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Commission on Human Rights and Former President of the American Bar Association, was the keynote speaker.
